What is NDIS and how does it work?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a program designed to provide support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to engage in everyday activities and achieve their goals. This program is available to all Australian citizens, permanent residents, or individuals with significant disabilities who seek to enhance their independence, involvement in the community, and overall wellbeing.
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is responsible for implementing the NDIS and ensuring that eligible individuals, their families, and caregivers receive the support they need. To learn more about how the NDIS can help you or a loved one, please visit www.ndis.gov.au
How often will the carer change?
At KoalaKare, we recognise the significance of the relationship between our participants and their caregivers. That's why we strive to maintain consistency by assigning the same caregiver to each participant unless the participant requests a change or discontinuation of services. We believe that this approach helps to foster trust, familiarity, and a sense of continuity for our participants, enabling them to receive the highest quality care possible.
How do you select your caregivers?
At KoalaKare, we understand that the safety and wellbeing of our participants is of utmost importance. That's why we only recruit experienced, dependable, and compliant workers with a proven track record in providing quality support and helping participants achieve their goals. Our staff undergo a rigorous recruitment and selection process that includes:
